Based on its national role and its social responsibility, and in support of official and civil efforts aimed at facing the outbreak of the novel Corona Virus pandemic, Al Baraka Islamic Bank BSC (C) announced a donation of BD 250 thousand in favor of the “Feena Khair” campaign fund launched by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, based on am initiative of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser, and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. This initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Bahrain National Team to tackle the Covid 19 virus, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister.
On this occasion, Mr. Hamad Abdulla Al-Oqab, CEO of Al-Baraka Islamic Bank said, “It is an honor for me at the outset to pay tribute to the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, by launching the economic and financial support package, which had the greatest impact in providing support to the economy, society and the citizen and their protection from the repercussions of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. We express also our pride that the banks and financial institutions in Bahrain had an effective role in this package and in light of the wise directives of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
He added: I am also pleased on this occasion to salute and commend all the distinguished and tireless national efforts that are being made to contain the outbreak of the epidemic, in the forefront of which are the efforts of the Bahrain team and the medical and health teams led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, which contributed to making Bahrain an outstanding international model in dealing efficiently with this pandemic and in managing an effective and coordinated national effort to contain its spread and combat its spread. We also express our thanks to the Royal Humanitarian Foundation led by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in launching such an effective partnership between the various sectors of society and institutions and activating the values of social solidarity and the spirit of responsible citizenship.
Mr. Al-Oqab concluded his statement that the contribution made by Al Baraka Islamic Bank in this campaign represent a part of our national and societal responsibility towards the Kingdom of Bahrain, calling upon the Almighty God to perpetuate the Kingdom the blessing of security, safety and stability, and to overcome this stage thanks to the solidarity and efforts of all segments of society and the state.
