FAQ's

Q1: My card has been captured in your ATM, but the ATM is not near the branch.  Where can I collect the card?

A1: If the card is not issued by Al Baraka Islamic Bank, the card will be destroyed, but if the card is issued by Al Baraka Islamic Bank, then it will be sent to the issuing Branch.

 

Q2: What are the ways that I can deposit to my account?
A2: You can deposit through:

  • Cash & Cheques through our branches (for savings accounts, Al Barakat accounts and the Credit Card)
  • Cash through the ATM
  • Through the Portal in the website (for Al Barakat accounts and the Credit Card)

 

Q3: How can I activate my dormant account?
A3: You need to visit the nearest branch to you. They will need your valid ID and to deposit or withdraw an amount to activate it for you.

 

Q4: When are your branch opening times?
A4: We have 8 branches:

  1. Bahrain Bay (Main Branch)
    • Sunday till Wednesday from 7:30 to 14:30
    • Thursday from 7:30 to 13:30
  2. Riffa Branch
    • Morning:  Sunday till Thursday from 7:30 to 13:00
    • Evening:  Sunday / Tuesday / Thursday from 16:30 to 18:30

For Property Finance:
The Customer needs to provide us with the Title Deed, the seller CPR and the MOH approval (for Mazaya deals).


For Auto & other goods Finance:

  • New Car Quotation (valid, Engine number, Chassis number, color and addressed to AlBaraka Islamic Bank)
  • Used Car Quotation (valid, Engine number, Chassis number, color, Model Year if from agent and addressed to AlBaraka Islamic Bank)
  • Used Car from Person (Vehicle Ownership Certificate, Insurance Certificate Card and seller CPR)

 

Q9: What are the requirements to apply for a Credit Card?
A9: An applicant for a Credit Card will be required to complete & submit the prescribed Application form along with the following documents:

 

Employed Individuals

  • 2 Valid Identification
  • Resident permit is required for non-Bahraini
  • Salary Certificate
  • Latest salary slip
  • Bank account statement for the past 3 months

 

Self-Employed Individuals

  • 2 Valid Identification
  • Bank account statement for the past 6 months
  • Valid copy of Commercial Registration (CR)
  • Memorandum of Association
  • Board Resolution for W.L.L

 
Against Barakat/Cash collateral
• 2 Valid Identification (Passport & CPR or driving license) • Resident permit is required for non-Bahraini
