Al Baraka Islamic Bank Signs Education Financing Agreement with British University of Bahrain

Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB), has signed an agreement with the British University of Bahrain (BUB) to provide education financing that caters to students wishing to enroll at the university.

The signing ceremony which was held on xx, xx at Al Baraka headquarters was attended by Mr. Tariq Kazim General Manager – Business Group of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, and Professor Julie Cross, President of the British University of Bahrain, and other senior officials from both parties.

The education financing scheme offers low profit rates over a maximum tenor of 3 years to those wishing to attain a higher education degree at local institutions. This scheme provides promising students with the opportunity to achieve their higher education degree at local prestigious institutions that are fully-equipped to prepare the future generation to successfully enter the job market upon graduation and excel in their future career paths.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr. Tariq Mahmood Kazim, General Manager – Business Group of Al Baraka Islamic Bank said: “As part of our recently-launched education financing scheme, we are delighted to be partnering with the British University of Bahrain, among a number of local universities on board with this new scheme. We are proud to be at the forefront of the financing industry within the Kingdom to be offering families and students such benefits which will help alleviate their financial burdens. This new scheme aims to help the youth of Bahrain by enabling and empowering them through education financing offers which will facilitate the process of enrolling at local universities across the Kingdom. We look forward to partnering with more universities in the near future.”

During the event, President of the British University of Bahrain Professor Julie Cross said: “We are proud to be partnering with Al Baraka Islamic Bank on this distinguished offer which will benefit potential students who would like to enroll at the university. The university’s purpose-built campus has been designed to facilitate active and collaborative learning and a stimulating student experience. Whatever your program of study, you will participate in real life projects and gain first-hand experience of the industries you will eventually work in.”

The British University of Bahrain is one of the newest Universities to be established in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Working in partnership with the University of Salford-Manchester, they bring to Bahrain British degrees from one of the UK’s leading universities. Bahrain students can now commence and study an Undergraduate UK Bachelors degree or Postgraduate UK Masters degree, exclusively on their state-of-the-art University campus, here in Bahrain, or they have the option to transfer their course studies to the University of Salford, in Manchester, at the start of any of their subsequent academic years.

The students’ degree certificate will be proudly awarded by the University of Salford, both of which are fully recognized by the Higher Education Council-HEC of Bahrain.
