SISA awards PCI DSS Certificate to ABIB
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain,
Al Baraka Islamic Bank, ABIB a subsidiary of Bahrain based Al Baraka Banking Group and a leading Islamic bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has been awarded with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS v3.2) certificate by SISA Information Security (SISA).
SISA is region’s #1 payment security specialist firm having vast expertise in Payments security space. They are an authorized assessor for various Payments standards and are listed as a PCI QSA, PCI ASV, PA-QSA, P2PE-QSA, PCI PFI and VISA Approved PCI PIN Security Assessor.
The certificate was awarded to ABIB by SISA on completing the successful audit and attaining compliance on one of the most stringent and coveted security standards.
Mr. Mohamed AL Mutaweh, Chief Executive Officer & board member of ABIB, received the international certificate in presence of Mr. Rashid Al Alaiwi, Deputy General Manager of Business Group, Mr. Isa Al Obaidly, Assistant General Manager HR & ADMIN and Mr. Asrar Uddin, Assistant General Manager Information Technology Department and other bank officials.
The Certificate was awarded to ABIB for the bank’s compliance with the latest banking standards measuring security and confidentiality of card holding customers’ data through their banking transactions, in cooperation with SISA. The company evaluated and audited the Bank's compliance with the PCI DSS V3.2 security standard, aiming to provide a high level of protection and confidentiality to electronic payments card data and to meet the requirements of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
