Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Bank Discusses with the Korean Ambassador Ways to Strengthen Joint Cooperation

Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Islamic Bank BSC (c) Mr. Mohammed Issa Al Mutaweh received HE Mr. Koo Hyun-Mo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Bank's Head Office in Bahrain Bay in the presence of a number of officials at the Bank and the Korean Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain..

During the meeting, the CEO of Al Baraka Islamic Bank reviewed the role played by the Bank for more than three decades in serving the development programs in Bahrain, the services and products it provides to customers, and its role in strengthening the commercial and investment relations of the Kingdom with the rest of the world, given the fact that the Bank is a part of a large banking group, Al Baraka Banking Group, which is present in 15 Arab, Asian and African countries. The Bank is keen to develop and strengthen the economic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea. The Bank is also interested in contributing to enhancing the cooperation between the two countries in various fields and to provide all forms of financing and investment services, especially that the Republic of Korea is playing a growing role in global trade and economic sphere.

For his part, the Korean Ambassador praised the distinguished economic relations between Bahrain and Korea and the economic growth witnessed by the various commercial, industrial and investment sectors as well as the development of the banking industry in Bahrain and its great contribution to economic growth. He is interested in developing the Bahraini-Korean economic relations and supporting cooperation between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues that would contribute to the development of the cooperation frameworks and mechanisms between the Bank in particular, banks in Bahrain in general and Korean companies that carry out many projects in the Kingdom and the region, in addition to enhance and support economic, trade and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Korea in all fields.
